About
Tim Berdon is the sole creator and writer for OutOfTheBaseline.com. An 18 year old college student who turned a four hour break in between classes into a hobby. Tim has been fascinated with with the entire baseball world since a very young age and hopes to go on in the future and eventually work in the industry. However, the business and financial aspect of the game is what intrigues him the most. He currently is enrolled at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York on an academic scholarship, majoring in Economics with a minor in Statistics.
Tim is a lifelong, optimistic New York Mets fan and will always be behind his team through the few good times and many bad ones. He is also an avid supporter of small market clubs as opposed to the larger market teams, particularly the Tampa Bay Rays and Kansas City Royals. But these feelings do not at all affect his objective and fair work that he puts on the blog. Aside from baseball, Tim is also extremely interested in European soccer, particularly the English Premier League and a die hard New York Football Giants fan. A white collar job in Major League Baseball is his biggest goal.
